Changes in Payment Method for Foreign Worker Levy (FWL) and FWL Late Payment Interest

The CPF Board has announced that from 26 September 2022, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will no longer collect Foreign Worker Levy (FWL) related payments through the CPF EZPay platform. This includes payment for FWL, as well as FWL late payment interest. Employers who pay FWL using a different payment method than CPF EZPay (FTP), will remain unaffected. This decision was made in line with MOM’s broader initiatives to consolidate levy payments.

In light of these changes, MOM has recommended that levy payments by employers be made using one of the following payment methods:

  1. PayNow QR in Check and Pay Levy; or

  2. A monthly GIRO deduction.

SimplePay will ensure that the necessary changes are made to the FTP File available on our system. This means that you don’t have to worry about manually making changes to stay compliant when making submissions via CPF EZPay. For more information about Monthly Submissions, please refer to our help page here.

For more information on the FWL changes, as well as information on the other levy payment methods to MOM, please refer to this CPF page. Alternatively, the CPF Board or MOM can be contacted directly.
